Location
Shabla is a small town and seaside resort situated in northeastern part of Bulgaria, close to the Shabla salt-water lake and to the Cape Shabla - Bulgaria's easternmost point. Shabla is located near Kavarna resort, 83 km northeast of the town of Varna and 24 km from the Romanian border.
Cape Shabla is the easternmost geographic point of Bulgaria.
Beach and climate
The town is a developing resort situated 5 kilometers from the beach. Shuttle service is available in summer. The beach is clean with white sand. There is a lake lagoon near the beach with curative mud.
On the main beach of Shabla are located many old bungalows close to a large restaurant and large parking. There is a camping area of Dobruja approximately 16 km from the town.

Bars and restaurants
Shabla offers different catering opportunities at small private restaurants and snack bars. There are grocers stores and off-road caravans with food and refreshments. Agricultural products can be bought at low prices from the local producers.
Entertainment
The town of Shabla offers an old cultural centre, a small art gallery and a museum collection.
A grand folklore festival with dances, songs and crafts exhibitions is held annually on 24th May.
The oldest sea lighthouse on the Balkan Peninsula is situated in Shabla.
Beautiful resorts of Kamen Bryag and Tyulenovo, and the small bay of Kavarna can be reached following the rocky coast and high cliffs to the south.
Numerous sunken marine vessels, such as submarines from the Second World War can be found in the sea around Shabla.
The Shabla lake where various species of wild geese nest, is located 3 km from the town. The lake is a nice place for fishing and recreation.
The Durankulak Moor is a popular natural reserve for a number of marsh birds.
Sport
The yachting club where the annual yacht-regatta along the Black Sea coast starts is situated near Shabla.
Transport
There is a regular bus line from Varna to Shabla. The road is in good condition and to the north it leads to the Romanian border.
