(---.bas503.dsl.esat.net) posts : 299 Date : 05-10-08 01:05 From my experience over the last 20 years the food has certainly improved...When i first went there in 2986 tha Globus upstairs restaurant was the best in the resort, there was also a nice meal to be got in the Kuban...The food was what they served you and it was generally very plain but substantial and very very cheap....A pint of beer could be got for 5 pence. Over the years the number of restaurants serving good food has increased and in the last few years they are probably serving the best food of all the European resorts. To start the ball rolling on my restaurants in Sunny beach last year, here are my top 10 ........ 1.Dyannys.. 2. Billy's bistro. 3.Condor.. 4. Fenix.. 5. Chicken Georges.. 6. Picadilly.. 7. The old house. 8.Fat cat.. 9.never got any further....lets have yours.... |

There's a nice restaurant/Hotel up from the square in Vlas which has a courtyard and has great food. Rained like buggery one night and just great to watch! even go to the chinese! Order half you need and if your hugry order more! you get shed loads. |

Always liked the Jupiter too, have to agree Billy the food has really improved over the last few years and i too remember long queues at the bottom of the stairs of the Globus it was so popular, and you could pay with your meal vouchers too John S. |

(---.dsl.pipex.com) posts : 50 Date : 05-10-08 13:23 Have eaten in some of those places Billy and have had a great meal. I have a good recommendation but cant remember the name of the place lol. Its a new restaurant within the Barcelo Royal Beach complex on the corner facing the "Street of Art". Its on the first floor and starts with a P but thats all I can remember. Had amazing food and top service and one of the best meals ever in Bulgaria. Its not cheap but certainly not as dear as UK prices. Worth having one night there if youre on holiday. |

We ate there a few times last year and was very cheap and the food was excellent |

(---.dynamic.dsl.as9105.com) posts : 630 Date : 05-16-08 23:23 Went last year and spent a lot of time at TJ's. Not sure whether it was the good variety of food, great staff (really good with the kids), or the suberb location - open and backing on to the beach, or just a combination of all! Would reccomend you give it a try, i'm sure you wont be dissapointed. |

(---.proxy.aol.com) posts : 4469 Date : 05-19-08 15:28 Djannys was hugely popular last year and received the highest number of compliments on this board for both quality and price. We found the service to be a little slow, but that seems to be par for the course in Bulgaria. Itherwise it was excellent. Jupiter also got a big thumbs up from last years posters and we found this to be great for steaks and salads. Pete |

(---.xdsl.lixxus.net) posts : 1 Date : 05-20-08 00:56 i myself like to eat at the condor or djannys but te best place to eat is from the bushy plate. there can be a bit of a wait but i have sometimes managed to sneak in via the back door. although the back door is a bit tight and seemed a bit ,well smelly for want of a better word. But i would persevere beause it it worth the hassle once you can get in. The service is always top tits and great value. I think in was about 20 levs for the full monty. give it a bash !!! |
