(81.171.193.---) posts : 84 Date : 09-04-08 12:53 Hi Jools We keep our apartment for close friends and family but we have another apartment (Prestige City) which in the same area which we give up for rental but it is only advertised i think through a scandanavian company. If we want any weeks for ourselves here we have to inform them in January but we have taken the odd week in September at the end of rental. I think they buy the weeks from us from 15 May to beginning of September, not sure exact dates without checking my contract. Patz |

(81.171.193.---) posts : 84 Date : 09-05-08 18:01 Hi Jools Sorry not got back to you busy at work, trying to keep on top of things before my trip to sunny beach on 11th. Grass didn't get cut but some indoor jobs have been done so can't grumble. We both work full time so it is hard fitting in the grass cutting inbetween the rain, can't see us getting it cut before we go, maybe son will do it whilst we are away lol! Raining here all day today, depressing, looked at forecast for Sunny Beach and although keeps changing day to day our week ahead looks pretty good for now. Patz |

(---.range86-143.btcentralplus.com) posts : 84 Date : 09-06-08 15:19 Hi Jools My daughter has just passed a degree in child education and culture and is in process of trying to find a job, very difficult without experience. She looks as if she will have to do part time voluntary work so she can gain experience. She is now thinking was it worth going to university, could she have not started somewhere as a trainee and had a good job by now. Son is has AAT and works in a tax shop. My husband does some assessing in Immingham, i believe not far from you. I have done well filling the skip, keep getting rained off, but go back out and just think abour my hols, it keeps me going. We have not long moved into a bungalow and had to rip floors out, replaster etc so we have a lot of rubble to get rid of. Not sure how long it will take us to complete the taks, then theres the garden. Patz |

(---.range86-156.btcentralplus.com) posts : 37 Date : 09-06-08 15:58 hi patz, i know the feeling well, went through the same thing when we gutted our house. My daughter who is 28 did a degerr in dance and trained at the london studios but she finds it so difficult getting work, she now lives in manchester and is looking at getting work at there university, have just finished looking after my grandson, have three grandchildren, they sure keep me busy, have got a friend who lives in coningsborough is that any where near you? I was looking forward to my holiday but after reading some of the latest reveiws am not so sure it has put me off quite a bit. I know you can get mugged anywhere but there does seem to be a lot of bad press. well better go do some ironing, catch u later. jools |

(---.range86-143.btcentralplus.com) posts : 84 Date : 09-06-08 17:46 Hi Jools Yes Conisborough is only about 5 miles from me. Please don't worry about what you read on here, whichever forum you go on for Spain, Greece, etc you will always hear horror stories. My husband and i walk home around 3pm if not later most nights/mornings and along quiet roads and never been mugged, threatened or anything in the 4 years we have been going to Sunny Beach, mind you husband is ex rugby player and 6ft 2 lol. I have had my purse stolen on the bus by a Gypsy lady, and i was warned, they are so crafty, but it was only a bit of money, they left my phhone and digital camera?. They also cut my husbands short pockets and took 2 levs. He kept feeling someone touch his leg and thought nothing of it, he thought it was his lucky day lol! The bus was very busy and we had to stand up squashed like sardines. This has never happened since. The buses are really busy around 5pm when workers going home, i have found. We tend to walk everywhere now except if we go to Bourgas town. If we do get on the bus we use it at quiet times. Never been on the bike taxis, after reading stories on here i think people would be daft to use them. The other taxi drivers that are ripping people off may happen from time to time. We have found some really nice taxi drivers over the years and once you find a sincere one, take his number and use him all the time. Hope this advise has not brought your worries to head and unnverved you again, please don't worry, i certainly won't and cant wait to go again. Just finished for day filling the skip, husband gone to watch son play football. Bathroom to clean, bungalow to dust, tea to make then relax before going out for a drink or 2, think i have deserved it today. Cheers Jools, have a good night |

I think we are likely to get rain but what the heck, i have a brolly and the temperatures are still over 20. Just means we will be sat inside the pub instead of outside lol! Been nice weather here in Donny today; last bit of washing on line ready to iron, quick trip to supermarket when i leave work, just leaves the packing tonight. Have one more day at work then off. Found it very relaxing this time round as at the end of the season lots more places offering cheaper drinks etc. Hope your time in Sunny Beach is good and the weather is not too bad. I am sure your hotel will be great, my boss was only saying it was one of the best hotels he has ever stayed in especially the food. See you soon Patz |
