Reflecting Graham on your last post, i note that you tell those who "are ruining this site " to leave. You do not identify these people.
you say you miss gary and his "wee windups". There is the nub of the matter.
What is a "wee windup " to you Graham (at whom they are not directed) to another person are not wee windups at all. Indeed they have proved to be a matter of dissension and have drawn blood. One man's meat is another man's poison!

A good example Gary's last thread "Goodbye Wales". There was no earthly reason to post this topic. It had absolutely nothing to do with Bulgaria. Gary posted it to draw blood and he succeeded!

No less a personage than Sunny Beach Pete has remonstrated with Gary, in July this year. This can be seen further down this page.
The inestimable June Fletcher has also remonstrated with Gary, on this page, reprising a row between them, on another Bulgaria site.
Gary has already told us that he has being banned from the Facebook site. This row has also being transferred by him to Beach Bulgaria!
Gary has also frequently harangued and ranted at posters, who made queries about cigarette allowances, or lectured people on the evils of smoking. All very worthwhile I'm sure, but were resented rightly by regular posters on this site, and had nothing to do with a site promoting holidays in Bulgaria.
So on reflection Graham, it is not unreasonable maybe to consider that Gary has played a part in maybe "ruining" this site?
Furthermore you ask June and Manfred to keep posting on this site.
Now I have nothing personal against either

Sorry for the interruption. Gremlins in this computer tonight.

Graham asks Manfred and June to continue posting on this site.
Both of these good people have made valuable contributions to this site, but neither is a regular poster, who deal with the nitty-bitty queries of the first-time holidaymakers to the Sunny Beach area.

For this we have to thank long time posters like the late lamented Baldur (RIP), Parkie Bear (prolific until recently) and the ubiquitous Welsh Lady.

These wonderful people have answered thousands of queries, of the bread and butter variety, over the last few years-relating to hotels, restaurants, best drinks, beer, trips, exchange rates, kiddie's facilities and a host of others.
I am often amazed at the speed and frequency of their answers. There are many others too, who have made their contributions, but these regulars are outstanding.

So these are the posters I hope will continue to contribute to Beach Bulgaria, over the winter season and on into the
next holiday season.

I hope they will rise above all the recent aggro and pettiness and continue their much appreciated work.

Well where do I start, regards Gary and his wee windups I personally only took them to be that, the post Goodbye Wales was to me a reply to a post Welshlady made re rugby and which I like Gary mistakenly took as a dig at the other home nations who failed to stay in tournament,W.L explained her post and I happily accepted her explanation. There seems to be a history with Gary and his posts of which I am unaware and I can only comment on the ones I am aware of,none of which I have found offensive. As to names of people who in my opinion sought to destroy this site they know them and I am not certain of some of them so I name none.Manfred and june have personally answered question posted by me and that is why I singled them out.As regards Welsh Lady she has always been very helpful to me although I sometimes confuse her with June(my age I think lol).I would hope ALL posters on here would continue to offer advice to newcomers and existing posters who ask for information. Finally I am not a person who looks for bother ,all I ask is for fairness to all,I hope this site returns to what it seems it used to be and as you say stop all this Aggro and pettiness.

Hi Mama carol

just had a check through my previous posts and realised that I have just passed the number of posts I had before I had to change my username from Robbie to Robbiechetristotin, due to someone else who rgistered under Robbie at the time just found out my post total is now the same as what it was before the change so posts about Bulgaria are now over 1100 does this mean I know what the area is like and know how the people are

Graham, when I posted the above to you, I deliberately titled it "On reflection"...Because that is what I did.
Reflect!
There was something like a 10 day gap between your original post and my reply to it. In other words, I waited sometime
to decide, whether to reply to your post or not.

There was absolutely NO CRITICISM of you intended, as has been suggested above, but of course not suggested by you, so I think its best to ignore that particular post and its author.

I fully accept all that you have said in your reply to me.

In your original post, when you referred to those who "ruined" the site, you continued by stating that you missed Gary's "wee windups". I merely stated that what may be a "wee windup" to one person may be a point of dissension to another.I think this is a reasonable point of view.

As already pointed out Sunny Beach Pete remonstrated with Gary, about the nature of his posts in July. Gary has/had problems with other posters, as is apparent from reading posts published over recent months.
.So I thought that "maybe, just maybe" you might include Gary with those nameless ones, who "ruined" the site. This was merely my point of view, which I am sure you accepted as such.

The poster above may indulge in "slanging matches" because this is what she intended, when she rushed to print. Perhaps
she might well take time to REFLECT in future, before using such intemperate language, which was done to provoke a reaction.Perhaps she may eventually realise that two people can express differing points of view, without one being accused of criticising the other. I repeat, also endorsed by you Graham , that we all must rise above such aggro and pettiness.

Graham, you said that you would not be posting for some time
as you were facing surgery. I hope that goes well for you and that you make a full recovery.

Best wishes for now and 2012.
Irish Moll

Graham I hope all goes well for you and that we will see you next year in Sunny Beach. I try to post as much as I can, and I dont like getting into arguements on a forum, I always feel that people are much better to sort there differences out by email to each other. It takes all sorts of people to make a forum so I suppose at sometime people will disagree with each other. When I come onto the forum and there is a question raised that I feel I can answer I will but quite often is already been answered and all I would be doing is just saying the same thing so I wont post on it. There are many members on here such as Welsh Lady Carol V etc that have great knowledge of Sunny Beach, and I have great admiration for them as even the short time that I have been a member can see they have had some pretty rotten stuff thrown at them. So I hope that people will start posting again and get the forum back to being busy and help people that need answers.

hello there
My interest in this site is usually daily but my posts are seldom, however forgive me for interjecting, one of the reasons that I started to follow posts was that I felt comfortable with the varied and helpfull information that was posted.
Many would like to see a return to the past but surely this can only be achieved by moving away from the past and creating a comfortable and pleasant environment for everyone to post with confidence.
It isn't always easy to form an appropriate image of those who post from the posts themselves but I have been fortuneate enough to meet a few of the posters and found them to be most enjoyable company.
People's turn of phrase can be shall we say misinterpreted and could cause unintended offence but only in the mind of the reader.
As suggested previously you could perhaps find a private solution by means other than the all too public posts.

I send my best wishes to you all for the coming Christmas and may we all see both sides of the coin more clearly in 2012.

Allan

( my apologies if this sounds like preaching as I have not rights whatsoever )
