Those of you who know her also know what a lovely, caring, and genuine person she is and we are both totally numb. She has to go to hospital on 1st August for an operation to remove her breast and then 5 weeks of chemotherapy. Not sure why I'm posting this - just a little lost to know what to do or say. Pete. |

(---.proxy.aol.com) posts : 841 Date : 07-04-08 00:22 Hi Pete Sorry to hear your devastating news I know just how you are feeling 2 years ago my wife noticed a lump in her breast just a few days before flying out to Sunny Beach We had an appointment to see a specialist on our return There is no evidence of cancer in her family, & her sister had a lump removed a few months prior which turned out to be benine, so we really thought & hoped hers would be the same Kim, my wife had type 3 breast cancer She had 2 operations Chemotherapy, & Radio Therapy She is now 2 years through a 5 year course of Tamoxifen (Tablets) She is doing fine, & looks still looks great To be honest it never stopped her doing her normal routine It was me that was devastated not her Be assured Pete that today there is some great treatment used by the NHS things are much better than just a few years ago Our thoughts are with you Gary & Kim |

My mum had the same operation done 10 years ago and she was perfect up untill 1 year ago and she had to have operation 2 last year now she s had all her treatment and in great form.I m bringing her to bulgaria in sept she is a really brave woman. I wish Angie the best of luck and tell her try and not to worry too much. |

As you probably know my sister is just going through this. I spent all day at the hospital yesterday cos she had her lump removed. She has to go back in 2 weeks to find out what other tratment if any she needs. Hang on in there, we met some wondersful staff and 2 very positive ladies who had just had mastectomys this week. They were so positive and strong and it made both my sister and me feel much more postitive about the future. Angie is young and healthy so she will beat this. There was a lady in the ward who is 84 and she is so positive so no matter what age you can get through this. Love to you both Caz |

She is copeing with the news amazingly well and I only wish I was as mentally strong as she is. The latest update is that after her op on 1st August, the treatment of both chemotheropy and radiation treatment will commence and last approximately 9 months. But she is determined to continue with our holiday next week even though I was prepared to cancel it. Strong as an Ox I have no doubt she will come through it.
