(---.btc-net.bg) posts : 273 Date : 05-16-08 00:09 Hi all, I am so sorry that I have not been on line recently, life has been so hectic since I returned from my family vacation to Turkey. I had a wonderful holiday and returned to so much work I did not know where to start. I have continued to visit the children at the institute in Stoikite all the children are doing well, I have given the a mobile telephone and they call me daily. The children know play cricket thanks to Lesley bringing over the equipment, Lesley kindly took the time to visit the children and meet with Jasmine. Sorry that I could not get back in time that day to take you up personally Lesley, the children spoke of your visit fondly and look forward to seeing you again they are grateful for all in which you donated. Adam visited the children again and played football with them and Doug, he bought the children a basket ball hoop along with other donations, Adam told me that he and Steve raised approximately £1000 towards the heating fund this is great news. I want to thank you all for your continued support and also Carole and Andie for all that they do for this worth while cause. I have also become involved with an orphanage in Gorna Bania which is close to my home in Sofia. I will up-date you next week with reference to the tenders for the heating, in Bulgaria things move at a slow pace and it has taken them longer than expected to put in tenders and two companies that did quote did not specify materials being used etc so they have been going back and forward like a ping pong ball. I will return to Stoikite on Monday and send all your regards to the children, Jasmine recently took several of the children camping locally, the children loved it. The children are doing well with there English classes and love to practice new words including so less desirable ones they here in music. I will post again with further up-dates soon x x |
