I have never been one for posting a lot on here but i do look in now and again and i for one enjoyed reading the daily chats in the winter when the board was quiet. No doubt most of the regulars on here look in on the cold site and they can see what is posted that has got nothing to do with skiing. I await my reply and see what Pete has to say. CV  |

Firstly let me state that i very rarely ever post on here now for a variety of reasons, the main one is that i go to Varna every year instead of S.B. and can't really offer any up to date knowledge of the resort, but i often look in and if anyone was asking for advice about Varna then i'd certainly provide an answer if possible. The second reason is that it seems the majority of posters have left the site and there are now only a handful of regulars, and i'd have to ask what the reason is for that? moaning, bitching,petty squabbles etc. and the debacle over the Pauline carry on just seemed to go on and on. Those complaining about what is being allowed over on the "cold site" should remember that that kind of chat has always gone on on the beachbulgaria site from almost day one without any problems, quizzes,football/rugby chat music talk and even the odd political debate etc, but what happened on this site two or three years ago has in my opinion killed the site stone dead, and that was the kind of chat that was banned. Lets face it there were times when the whole first page of the site was dominated by posts about who had what for dinner, what time i woke up at etc. and generally was the kind of chat you'd hear two sisters or friends natter about on the phone, and as is the norm in these kind of conversations they invariably turn to bitching about others, so i think Pete took the correct step and decided to limit these kind of posts to the "daily chat threads" which would then be deleted after a few days, as they were of interest to absolutely no one. Unfortunately by then the damage was done and most of the sites established posters had gone for good. Though i'm not a poster on it, i know you don't get those kind of threads on Bulgariaski. I've never met anyone from this site personally and have no axe to grind with anyone, i'm sure you are all decent people, but please put an end to all the accusations about the "cold site" and remember if this site is dead, who it was that killed it. |

It appears to be mission accomplished by those who chose to join this site about 3 years ago and treat it as if it were theirs to do whatever they wished with. I tried my darndest to keep everyone happy - yet the chat brigade did nothing but contest and challenge virtually everything I did. I would single out Candy Girl as the main culprit and the rest just followed like sheep until all but her followers left the site. We used to have over 500 posts a day on here before they came along and that was over several years of me looking after the site and I haven't changed , so what has? So well done them for wrecking what used to be a good fun for all site. Now look at it - completely ruined! Not 1 new post today - just replies to a post submitted yesterday by carolv - and what is it all about? To have a go at me again of course! The winter site is completely different to this site, we don't have moaners and groaners nor do we have anyone trying to muscle in and beat their gums about my handling of the administration. We will get probably 500 posts a day on there come December and they pretty much all will be positive and entertaining. So there you are Candy Girl and your followers - have whatever is left of this site, it no longer interests me and I'll leave it to you to add the final nails to the coffin. I will probably pop back now and again just to delete some of your posts - as what comes around goes around. You ruined what I once found a great privilege and pleasure to look after - and I will do the same to you just to get your back up as you have done to me. Enjoy - and I'll leave you to turn the light off. I trust this answers your question carolv. If it doesn't then look very long and hard at my reasoning. Someone once said be very careful what you wish for. Now you have your wish I hope you enjoy feeding off the carcus of what's left.  |

But one wonders why if they wanted a site to be able to chat with one another abou everyday things did they not just gravitate to facebook without decrying what was a great site it seems sad that to get what they wanted they had first to destroy what they had helped to create, it is now no wonder that this site is dying as i suppose some would say only the dinosaurs are left here but at least we did not take part in the demise of what was there in the beginning. and just in case anyone thinks that this is an attack on anybody else it is not just the personal opinion of someone who found this site very helpful when we first started to go to Bulgaria and the people who were helpful and did not fight with one and other over trivial things which had nothing to do with what the site was for. 400 |

The people who created the Facebook site came onto this site to destroy it and poach all the posters they could. As I said Mission Accomplished. We had many many meets in Bulgaria from this site so nothing new has been created. Please enjoy your new found friends - I'm sure you deserve each other. |
