(---.lns5-c10.dsl.pol.co.uk) posts : 425 Date : 05-17-08 10:40 What a bummer, opening rate today at the Raiffeisenbank is 2.40, so would hazard a guess of 2.25/2.30 in resorts. F.V. |

(---.belf.cable.ntl.com) posts : 37 Date : 05-19-08 02:31 What I do is order brand new bank of England notes, and change them either at a crown exchange booth only as they are bank linked in Bulgaria, or go to a main bank like Bulbank in Nessebar. Never use any booth asides "Crown" even if the rate appears higher. I was getting a nice 2.80 last July, shame the pound has fallen. Never the less, its still cheap |

(---.range217-42.btcentralplus.com) posts : 317 Date : 05-19-08 15:07 2 weeks ago, I was paying £1-1.50 in Sofia for a salad, less in villages and towns elsewhere. Tried the Shepherds salad - had everything in it so was a meal in itself. Cigarettes were 80p - £1 depending which ones you wanted. Local beer and brandy were cheapest at under £2 for a very large brandy with coffee. |
