Kaliakra Rock Fest 2009
A real rock avalanche will get to the rock fans in Bulgaria from July, 1st to 3rd in Kavarna, where this year beside the already announced MOTLEY CRUE and DREAM THEATER, the bands of SCORPIONS, ANTHRAX, BLIND GUARDIAN, NEAL MORSE and LAUREN HARRIS will also perform. The tickets for the rock festival will be valid for all the three days (July, 1st – 3rd) and are on sale now for 100 lv. each. Get your tickets at the Ticket center of National Palace of Culture (NPC) in Sofia, the network of Ticketstream.bg and Eventim.bg. Additionally, due to the traditional interest of the fans from the neighboring countries like Romania, Serbia and Macedonia, tickets will be sold on-line (See www.ticketpoint.ro and www.bilete.ro for Romania and www.eventim-yu.com for Serbia and Macedonia). The fourth edition of Kaliakra Rock Fest 2009 will be inaugurated on July 1st by the glam American rock band MOTLEY CRUE. In line with their eccentricity, the sexy Lauren Harris (daughter of Steve Harris from IRON MAIDEN) will provide their support. On July 2nd we will see the legendary German hard rock band SCORPIONS – the idol of several generations of rockers and rock bands around the world. Their support band deserves no less respect of the audience. ANTHRAX themselves will come up the stage. BLIND GUARDIAN – a heavy metal visitor from Germany with substantial dedicated audience will rock the stage right after ANTHRAX and just before SCORPIONS. The final third day of the festival (July 3rd) will also be loaded with music and emotions. In the spotlight will come one of the most successful progressive metal bands of the nineties, DREAM THEATER. Support of those idols will be NEAL MORSE, the new band of Neal Morse, who was the front man of Spock’s Beard for many years. As a tradition Mr. Tsonko Tsonev, mayor of Kavarna will please the guests of “Kaliakra Rock Fest” this year with, possibly one of the most rocker’s prizes, a motorcycle “Harley Davidson”. The lucky winner must meet the only condition, being a holder of a three-day ticket for “Kaliakra Rock Fest 2009”. The winning ticket will be drawn after Fest’s end. The main sponsors - Harley Davidson and Bolyarka SA will take care of the rock fans, providing beer and many more prizes. One of the dedicated listeners of STAR FM, will be the first in the history of Kaliakra Rock Fest and in Bulgaria at all - volunteer. He or she will have the incredible privilege to participate in the preparation of the whole festival and also the chance to touch personally the Rock stars and be in the backstage during Kaliakra Rock Fest 2009!
