Sunny Beach Sea Resort Welcomes First Tourists
Bulgaria's glitzy Black Sea Resort Sunny Beach welcomed Sunday its first tourist for the 2007 season. The group of 29 Israelis was welcomed with bread and salt following the Bulgarian tradition in welcoming guests. The tourist were also given the "You are not alone" ribbons in support of the Libya-jailed Bulgarian nurses. The Mayor of Nessebar himself went to welcome the guest of the resort and wished them to have a really great time while in Bulgaria. The Nessebar Municipality expects to receive at least 10% more tourist this season after Bulgaria joined the EU. This somehow make people feel safe and removing of duty taxes eases their trip, official from the tourist agency who organized Israeli's holiday commented.
